Beginners loot: Electro, Cherno, balota, Barazino and Solnichniy, Gorka.

Advanced loot: Balota, Cherno, North-West Airfield, Stary Sobor, Barazino, Gorka, north east airfield.

What you need:

Gun, cans of food X3, cans of coke or pepsi or even drink bottle X3, Morphine X2, blood bags X2-3 (only if with other players), painkillers X2, bandages X2-3, epi pen x2 (if with others), antibiotics x1, heat packs x2, Hunting knife, map, NV goggles (if you play at night), hatchet, compass, watch.

Optional: Primary gun, vehicle.

If you do want to find a vehicle I do recommend to look in the areas of starry sobor and north east airfield.
